Where do I go for my photo shoot?
The Drummond Photography Studio is located in beautiful downtown Boonville. All appointments will begin here unless other arrangements have been made. The studio is located at 323 E. Morgan St., Suite E. We are across the street from the Boonville Police Department in the basement directly below Intensive Hair. Please turn into the parking lot on 4th Street. You will see Drummond Photography located on the back side of that building once you pull into the parking lot. If you have any difficulty finding us, please call us at 573-999-9834.
What should I bring?
Bring it all!!! Pack a variety of clothing options from dressy to casual! We will help you pick the things that will look most flattering in your photos. Accessories are a must! Think about hats, jackets, scarfs, Letterman jackets, guitars, hunting equipment, cars, sunglasses, you name it! If you are doing a sports session, bring uniforms, balls, gloves, bats, nets, clubs, etc...everything that goes along with that sport!!!!
Girls, please avoid sleeveless and spaghetti straps on clothing, as well as lots of short skirts and dresses which limit the posing you can do. A tank top to wear underneath for easy changing of outfits when we are on location is always a great idea.
How should I do my makeup?
Do not try a new make-up style the day of your shoot. Lipstick or gloss is highly recommended to bring out your lips. While eyeliner and mascara are great, too much eye-makeup can make your eyes appear dark and small.
Should I tan before my session?
Do NOT try to tan right before your apt! Wear sunblock and avoid those noticeable tan lines. Be careful of spray tans, they can often look orange in photos.
What about acne, bruises, and my glasses?
Minor breakouts and bruises are an easy retouch, don’t worry! If you plan to wear glasses, please have lenses removed to avoid glass glare in your photos.
Who should come along on my session?
We ask for a parent to come along on each senior shoot. If a parent is not available, an older sibling or friend is welcome. We will all be riding along together in our vehicle for your session, so a large group is not recommended.
What amount is due at my photo shoot?
At least half of your session minimum order is due at the time of your photo shoot.
Can I just get a disk with all of the digital files?
You are not just another number to us. We do not do online sales. I take the time with each and every client to help them make image selections. Yes, it will be an extra appointment, BUT the time I save you from having to make selections on your own is priceless....which can take hours...or days...or ...let's be honest....never happens at all. We are all so busy these days. It is so very easy to put this off and then forget about them all together. I want you to proudly display your family's memories where they can be enjoyed by everyone who visits your home..not sitting on a computer, never to be looked at again. When is the last time you sat down to enjoy your family photos on a computer, wouldn't you much rather have your child's portrait hanging in your living room or an album on your coffee table where you can see it everyday? That being said, we do offer digital files in our packages, but we still ask you to come to an ordering session and select the photos to display in your home.
What should I think about before my ordering/viewing appointment?
Measure and take photos of your wall space where you plan to hang photos. Make a list of all family members and friends who will be given prints. Decide how many wallets and announcements you would like to give out. We are also happy to finish your wall art with a frame. We work closely with Ricmar Framing in Boonville and they are amazing!
How long before I can see my photos?
We are happy to schedule your ordering session approximately two weeks after your photo shoot. Please plan to make all ordering decisions at that time and make sure all people who need to be part of the decision making process are able to come along.
